Switcheo (SWH)
Switcheo is a Decentralised Exchange built on top of the NEO Blockchain. It facilitates the exchange of digital assets on NEO. These includes NEO’s NEP-5 tokens (e.g. RPX, QLC, SWH) or future NEP-X Tokens and NEO’s system assets like NEO and GAS. Trade settlements are done peer to peer via interaction with our smart contract. Although currently built on top of the NEO blockchain, Switcheo aims to achieve a network of DEX with cross chain swap capabilities between multiple popular chains like QTUM (QRC20) / Ethereum (ERC20) with more research being done for upcoming chains like Stellar.
Switcheo manages the entire trading experience on-chain, giving you the experience of a centralized exchange with the security of a decentralized exchange. You are in full control of your funds when trading on Switcheo. Switcheo’s smart contract only does trade settlements. No more loss of funds from exchange hacks. With Switcheo’s Dynamic Call function, new NEP-5 tokens become available to trade as soon as ICO ends. This lets you trade your tokens on demand.

- Competitors are our main concern here. Being the first mover in this space, Switcheo is going to be studied hard by other companies looking to introduce their own Decentralized Exchange to the Neo Blockchain and they will look to improve on any issues or features that Switcheo lacks.
- In regards to competitors, Neon Exchange or NEX poses a significant threat to Switcheo at this stage. Investors would be smart to keep an eye on both Switcheo and Neon Exchange to see who offers the best service. Switcheo have addressed the concerns some people have had regarding Neon Exchange. It’s great to see them acknowledge that they have some competition instead of dismissing all concerns.
- No other concerns here. Switcheo plans to increase pairings and eventually develop cross chain capabilities allowing the use of ERC20 and QRC20 tokens on the exchange. Investors should keep eyes on the development progress to ensure they are backing the winner in the Decentralized Exchange race.
