Binance Announces Delisting Of USDC Trading Pairs

On Monday the 6th of December, Binance announced a new list of USDC trading pairs due for the chopping block. Via an announcement on their Official Binance Twitter page and an accompanied support article, the Team announced the following pairs would be removed from the platform at “2020/01/07 8:00am (UTC)”.

  • Fantom (FTM/USDC)
  • Algorand (ALGO/USDC)
  • Ontology (ONT/USDC)
  • Stellar (XLM/USDC)

Binance Announces USDC Delistings

While the delistings have been explained as a way to concentrate low volume pairings into more popular ones, increasing trading volumes across the board, it’s becoming a common occurrence considering how new the USDC pair is to Binance Exchange. Only a month ago in December we saw USDC pairs dropped on very new assets such as PERL among other trading pairs. We’ll continue to publish these pieces in an attempt to spread the word around these rather sudden changes.
